Transfer Students Admissions

With its small size and capacity for individual attention to students, Oakland City University is an attractive place for students from all backgrounds. Below you will find the steps for completing your application process. Contact the admissions office with any additional inquiries.


Admissions Requirements

Students in good standing from accredited institutions are welcomed as transfer students. Transfer students from junior colleges or community colleges may have up to one-half of the requirements for a baccalaureate degree accepted, except where an associate degree has been completed in which case all work required for the degree will be accepted if it applies to the program of study at Oakland City University and meets grade requirements.

  1. Complete the online Transfer Student Admission Application.
  2. High school and current college transcript.
  3. Submit your ACT or SAT score, either directly from College Board or ACT when you take the test, or on your high school transcript.

Financial Aid

After applying for admissions, you will need to file the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid).  In order to qualify for financial aid, you will need to do so before the March 10th deadline.
