FINANCIAL AID
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
Graduate students must meet the Department of Education’s
eligibility requirements to apply for Direct Loans. See Eligibility
Chart below:
| Borrowers must: |
- have financial need for subsidized loans
- be a United States Citizen or an eligible non-citizen
- have a high school diploma or GED
- have a valid Social Security Number (SSN)
- make Satisfactory Academic Progress
- register with the Selective Service, if required
- sign FAFSA statement certifying that federal loan monies
will be used for education purposes only.

| In addition borrowers must: |
- be enrolled at least half-time as a regular student
- be admitted to an eligible program
- be accepted in to the Graduate MAT Program.

Borrowers are not eligible for Direct Loans if
they:
-
are in default on a federal student loan
-
have inadvertently obtained federal student loan
funds in excess of annual or aggregate loan limits, or
-
have an unresolved overpayment from Title IV funds.
