LOAN DISBURSEMENTS AND FEES

Your loan funds will be credited to your account the first Tuesday after each semester start date with the exception of first semester disbursements.  The first disbursement for semester one will be credited to accounts on July 1, 2008.  The new lower origination fee for the 2008-2009 academic year begins on this date.   If you are eligible to receive a refund, it will be issued within 10 business days from the disbursement date.

Direct Loan Disbursement Dates

2008 Summer

July 8, 2008
2008 Fall September 9, 2008
2009 Spring January 13, 2009

Loan disbursement dates are contingent upon the Financial Aid Office having received all forms and applications from students.

If you are borrowing to pay for your entire program, you will need to save your refunds to pay for your final 2009 summer semester when there will be no loan disbursement.

PLEASE NOTE: The Department of Education will reduce your loan funds by 2 percent. This is for an origination fee all borrowers are required to pay which goes to the Direct Loan Program.
