This issue of THE CONNECTION is being mailed to 7,996 alumni. The total number of dues paying members for 2007 was 1,557, including lifetime members. This represents 19.4% of the alumni. We are deeply appreciative of those of you that support the work of your alumni office with your dues. We would like to see an increase in dues paying members for 2008. This is an appeal to those of you that may have graduated last year or fifty years ago. Maybe you were a dues paying member once, but haven’t paid recently. Would you please consider sending your check in for the level of membership that works for you? Maybe you are a $25 dues member; could you bump that up to the $50 Golden Acorn Society level? Maybe you think your $25 would not make a difference. Wrong! We are careful stewards of every dollar that is given. We have great vision for the Alumni Association. We need your help to realize those dreams. Won’t you please consider putting your check in the mail today? Or if you would like to call and charge by phone, Peggy Christy at 812 749 1223 would be delighted to take your information. We challenge you to contact other OCU alums and ask “Have you paid your 2008 dues?” The goal we have set for 2008 membership drive is 2008 members; 25% of our total alumni mailing list. We are counting on you as one of our 2008 in 2008!
